Willie Park Snr was a club maker and Cleekmaker and a Professional golfer of renown. He was the first Open Champion in 1860 and again in 1863, 1866 and 1875. Willie Jnr joined him in his club making business in the 1880's forming 'W Park & Son, Musselburgh'. These clubs were stamped 'W Park, Musselburgh' therefore this club was made by Willie Park Snr as there is no stamp on the head. After Willie Jnr joined the business he put on Cleek Mark on the head but put 'P' on the shaft. Willie Jnr invented the wry necked putter.
